She served as the former Chairperson of the Board of Studies in Urdu at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTM Nagpur University), Nagpur, and as the Head of the Department of Urdu at both Lady Amritbai Daga (LAD) College and SRP College in Nagpur. Both institutions are recognised for their dedication to women’s education and are affiliated with RTM Nagpur University.
Dr. Javed’s academic legacy is most evident through her mentorship of advanced research scholars and her administrative leadership. She notably supervised the doctoral dissertation of Mushtaq Ali, whose PhD work, “The Contribution of Women from Maharashtra in Urdu Literature… After 1960,” was completed under her guidance.
